GOLF CARTS are the main form of transportation on the island, aside from taxi service, and vistors will have to judge whether it is better to rent a golf cart or use taxi service. This decision should be based upon where you are staying, how mobile you want to be, if you want to independently explore the island or if you prefer to be picked up/dropped off without the responsibility/expense of renting a golf cart.

Carts come in the basic 4 seater but 6 seaters are also available with models in both electric and gas versions. Some cart rental agencies have newer models than others so prices vary according to age, size and season. Rates run from a low season rate of around $40 US per day to a high season rate of $75 US per day, weekly rates somewhat cheaper. At peak season, it is best to reserve a cart to ensure availability.
